Slot agreement REACHED, Carragher WARNING & Torres' NEW job - Liverpool FC News Recap
Liverpool's negotiations with Feyenoord for manager Arne Slot were confirmed by the Dutch coach on Thursday evening and it now appears that the Reds may finalise the deal by the end of the weekend.
The 45-year-old spoke about his desire to join Liverpool following Feyenoord's 3-1 win over Go Ahead Eagles and talks between the Reds and the Eredivisie side over compensation for the manager's services are reported to have concluded successfully.
Things are moving quickly and are expected to conclude within the next 48 hours, with compensation likely to set Liverpool back around €13m.
Slot has won the Eredivisie and KNVB Beker (Dutch Cup) with Feyenoord since making the move from AZ Alkmaar and he even reached the Europa Conference League final in 2021/22.
With Liverpool facing West Ham in the Premier League this Saturday, Slot may well be confirmed as the club's new head coach by the time the Reds host Tottenham on 5 May.

JAMIE CARRAGHER ISSUES ARNE SLOT WARNING
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has expressed concerns over Liverpool's appointment of Slot and says he hopes that the Reds aren't hiring a 'yes man'.
Speaking on The Overlap, Carragher stated: "Liverpool is different to almost any club in that the manager is always the God.
"The fella who goes the game home and away, who's not into his stats or his data, he just wants to see this fella and he thinks he's going to win us the league, he's going to take us on a journey.
"Can this guy stand next to Pep Guardiola on the touchline and you feel like we can go head to head with this guy?"
He added: "Don't ever forget how big the connection's got to be with the Liverpool support and you might say that's the same with every fan.
"But that thing of like: he's our man, he can fight against Pep, he can fight against whoever the Man Utd manager is, and we haven't just got a coach there who basically is a “yes man” behind the scenes surely."

DIRK KUYT LAUDS 'GOOD CHOICE' ARNE SLOT
While Carragher holds reservations about Slot's arrival, former Liverpool midfielder Dirk Kuyt has offered a glowing recommendation of the Feyenoord coach.
Kuyt used to play for Feyenoord and also spent a week working with Slot behind the scenes at the Rotterdam club. He was delighted by what he saw.
Speaking to The Athletic, Kuyt stated: "It is very logical. I have not spoken to Arne, but if everything is agreed, Liverpool has made a very good choice.
"It is very interesting for me as a Dutchman who supports both Feyenoord and Liverpool. I am enthusiastic, to be honest.
"What appeals to me about Arne is his ability to make players believe in what he believes in. I talked to some of them while I was there and they all spoke very highly of him.
"They like the way he organizes training sessions and how he conveys ideas. He is great at communicating and managing the person."
