WATCH: Liverpool 2024/25 home kit – leaked
A new video appears to show Liverpool’s home shirt for the 2024/25 season, with the design featuring the previously reported 'YNWA' pattern.
We're only halfway through the 2023/24 season, but details of next year's kits are already filtering out.
The Reds are set to continue their Nike collaboration – with the deal between club and kit manufacturers running until at least 2025 – while we have already seen reports of how the home, away and third kids could look next season.
It has been predicted that next year's away kit will be ‘forest green’ with ‘washed teal’ details, while the third kit will be primarily white.
Most anticipated though is the home kit.
At the end of last year, it was leaked that the kit (red, of course) would feature a yellow striped pattern – evoking memories of the title-winning 2019/20 kit, as well as the shirt the club wore in the 1984 European Cup-winning campaign.
The pinstripe effect is reportedly an all-over 'YNWA' (You'll Never Walk Alone) design.
While previous reports have only provided mockups of the design, fans now have their first glimpse of how the kit might look in the flesh, with a video leaked online purporting to show the 2024/25 home kit.
The video (shared by @KoptasticNeil on X) shows a shirt being unboxed, with details around the badge, collar and other design elements shown in close up.
The overall look matches the previous predictions from the reliable Footy Headlines, while Anfield Watch has since had it confirmed that the shirt shown in the video is in fact the fan version of the 2024/25 home kit.
In possible references to other old kits, the red, white and yellow collar appears to be a throwback to the one which featured on the popular 2013/14 home shirt – sported by the likes of Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge, Brendan Rodgers' side came so close to the title.
Meanwhile, the underarm patches are similar to those of the Reebok kit which the Reds wore for the 2005 Champions League triumph.
Next season will mark Nike's fifth year of Liverpool kits, following the signing of a ground-breaking deal in 2020 which saw the American brand take over from New Balance.
