Liverpool's loan star Owen Beck was bitten shortly after a challenge that saw him receive a straight red card in a recent Championship game against Preston.

The on-loan Blackburn star suffered the unsavoury assault by Preston's Mulutin Osmajic, who has since been charged with violent conduct by the FA.

A video of the incident went viral online with many fans appalled at what happened to the Liverpool youngster.

Although Beck saw red for a challenge he made just before being bitten, Osmajic stayed on the pitch following the incident, leaving many supporters wound up.

Osmajic scores after admitting to bite

Osmajic admitted the offence and accepted the FA's charge of violent conduct for biting the Welsh defender.

Until a punishment is decided, Osmajic is still playing for Preston North End and scored twice in their 3-0 victory over Championship rivals Watford on Wednesday.

This has led to a number of supporters pointing out online just how unfair it is that Beck is still banned but that Osmajic has been allowed to carry on playing.

Some fans were confused by the whole scenario but others were left raging following the 25-year-old's brace.
