Liverpool loan star FINALLY vindicated as FA brings violent conduct charge

Liverpool loan star Owen Beck has seen some vindication as the FA brought about a charge for violent conduct. Milutin Osmajic appeared to bite the left-back at the weekend.

Owen Beck was involved in a ridiculous incident on Sunday after he received a red card. The left-back took a swipe at a Preston North End player, receiving a straight red.

A mini-brawl then broke out, which led to Beck gesturing wildly that he'd been bitten by Preston's Mulutin Osmajic. Video of the incident certainly suggested he had been, while Blackburn boss John Eustace said after the match that "Owen's got a big bite mark on the back of his neck and it's a shame the referee didn't see that".

How it wasn't seen is unclear but Osmajic merely saw yellow for his involvement in the incident. However, it appears he's now going to face a greater charge.

The FA have now brought down a violent conduct charge on Osmajic for his 'alleged' bite. He has until Monday to appeal that, per the BBC, but it would seem that the player is set for a long suspension.

Liverpool fans know all too well what can come of incidents like this. Luis Suarez received a 10-match ban back in 2013 for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic and we imagine Osmajic will see similar here.

Owen Beck sees vindication

It was a bizarre situation for Beck, who clearly knew he was bitten by a player but instead needed to leave the pitch himself - while his 'attacker' remained in play. This somewhat corrects things.

Though, regardless of all this, Beck will still need to serve a suspension himself. It's a shame, given his fantastic start to the season with Blackburn but we have no doubt he'll get right back to it three games from now.

Osmajic, though, will surely be on the sidelines for far longer than three games.
