Liverpool's Carabao Cup opponent REVEALED
Liverpool will play West Ham in the third-round of the Carabao Cup following tonight’s draw.
Liverpool, the reigning champions, only entered the competition at this stage because they are one of the seven English clubs taking part in European competition this season.
The Reds have won the competition more times than any other team and will be looking to add an 11th Carabao Cup to their trophy cabinet this year.
Liverpool will play West Ham at Anfield in a repeat of last years quarter final in the week commencing 23 September as they play their opening UEFA Champions League fixture the week before.

Liverpool’s trophy hopes
Liverpool’s new head coach Arne Slot has started this season well, with wins over both Ipswich Town and Brentford already secured, but the Dutchman will be looking to capture some silverware as soon as possible and the Carabao Cup will be his first opportunity to do so.
The final is scheduled for 16 March at Wembley Stadium and if Liverpool can make it all the way there this would be Slot’s first chance at a trophy with the Reds.
First though Liverpool will have to overcome West Ham and if they are successful they will have three more teams to get through before they can step out at Wembley once again.
Liverpool emerged victorious in last season's Carabao Cup final when Virgil van Dijk scored an extra-time winner against Chelsea.
