Liverpool left it late but managed to come away from Wembley as victors, beating Chelsea 1-0 in Sunday's thrilling Carabao Cup final.
Throughout the initial 90 minutes, both teams had the ball in the net - first Raheem Sterling for Chelsea and later Virgil van Dijk for Liverpool - only for each goal to be ruled out for separate offside offences.
As extra time lumbered on, it appeared the game was destined for penalties - an unwanted outcome for the Reds, who at that point were fielding a wealth of talented but very inexperienced players.
But in the 118th minute, Liverpool's skipper came up with the goods once again, rising up and heading past Dorde Petrovic to seal the club's 10th League Cup title. There was no ruling that one out.
An incredible result for the Reds, it acts as the first (but hopefully not the last) piece of silverware won during Jurgen Klopp's farewell tour at the helm.
Here's how Liverpool fans reacted on X, formerly Twitter, to the final triumph.

Nah. I can’t stop tearing up. I’ve never loved a Liverpool team more than this season’s.
There’s something in the air around all of our boys. This is the most special team I’ve ever witnessed at #LFC. pic.twitter.com/wQMVgu8hqs

Imagine it, though. Spending a billion quid to end up scrapping with Fulham and Bournemouth for a top half finish and lose a cup final to an injury ravaged Liverpool side patched up with academy teenagers who’ve barely kicked a ball at senior level.

Underdogs. Injury list. New injuries. VAR controversy. Late winner.
Liverpool FC at their best is scary.

Playing their kids, Liverpool have come away with their first piece of silverware in what is undoubtedly one of the most memorable finals in the Jurgen Klopp era.
The farewell tour rages on.
