Liverpool show Musiala interest
According to Football Insider, the Reds have reportedly entered the race to sign Bayern Munich playmaker Jamal Musiala.
The 21-year-old is incredibly sought after with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid all interested in gaining his signature.
Musiala has less than two years left on his current contract and the article suggests that Bayern are finding it tough to tie down a new deal with club director Max Erbel admitting it’s “difficult but not impossible”.
The German international had a fantastic European Championship campaign, scoring three goals and most recently in the UEFA Nations League, he notched up a goal and three assists in two games.
Bayern want £110m for Musiala
Jamal has also started the domestic season well with two goals and two assists across all competitions for Munich.
Vincent Kompany will be desperate to hold onto him, with his team attempting to dethrone Bayer Leverkusen after they snatched the Bundesliga title off them last season.
What might put Liverpool off however is his price tag. The young star is valued at £110 million and the Reds recruitment staff may believe that money could be invested in other positions and the figure could be used on multiple other players.
However, his array of talent and skill may persuade Liverpool as a strong attacking option if Mohamed Salah leaves too and the possibility of signing him will be one that excites supporters.
