Liverpool are set for an overhaul of their goalkeeping department this summer with coaches John Achterberg and Jack Robinson set to depart

There are question marks over the Reds’ first and second choice goalkeepers meanwhile.

Alisson Becker is now known to be OPEN to a move away from Anfield, with clubs in the Saudi Pro League plotting an ambitious move for the 31-year-old.

Caoimhin Kelleher admits he came close to leaving last summer and als had admirers in the Premier League heading into the transfer window.

And third-choice Adrian San Miguel has now CONFIRMED that he intends to depart Merseyside this off-season upon the completion of his contract.

The Spaniard joined Liverpool from West Ham back in 2019, playing 26 times over the course of his time at the club and signing a one-year extension last year.

However, the 37-year-old has now signalled his desire to return to LaLiga in his homeland, where he played for Real Betis for 15 years at the outset of his career.

“I’m still ready to compete. I feel very good despite being 37,” said in a Movistar Plus+ interview.

“You know that goalkeepers, if you take good care of yourself, if you haven’t had any serious injuries lately and you’re fine, the daily training gives you that intensity that makes you compete.

“I think Adrian [the player] has a long time left and it’s true that I would like to return to LaLiga. It has to be a nice, interesting project.”

There still remains the slim possibility that Adrian gets a new deal at Liverpool but at this stage it looks unlikely, as the goalkeeper acknowledges.

“I haven’t sat down with Liverpool yet either. I don’t rule out that we could have a pending conversation, but it is true that we will be looking out of the corner of our eye to see what happens in LaLiga.”

Liverpool’s recruitment team are casting the net wide for goalkeeper this summer with the club linked to Filip Jorgensen, the Villarreal No.1, Anthony Patterson, who has impressed as Sunderland’s first choice, James Trafford of Burnley and latterly Alex McCarthy of Southampton
