Liverpool duo highly impress as the International break kick's off
As the Premier League season takes a pause for the international break, it gives Liverpool fans the chance to see how Arne Slot's men will perform for their respective countries.
For some fans, the international break can be dull and a waste of time. But the players themselves can benefit from game time and a chance to impress their club managers.
Two Reds youngsters certainly seemed to shine in their opening matches this week and could make Slot sit up and take notice.

Reds duo impressive for England
Liverpool's Trey Nyoni and Carter Pinnington were both in action as England’s Under-18s participated in a friendly fixture against Portugal.The game was tightly contested but the Young Lions found themselves 2-0 up with 15 minutes to go. However, Portugal valiantly fought back with Rafael Camacho scoring a last-minute equaliser to make the final score 2-2.
Pinnington, a 17-year-old centre-back, has featured for Liverpool's Under-21s on numerous occasions. During the performance against Portugal, he was responsible for creating the move which led to the first goal. He brought the ball out from the back, releasing a pass into midfield which eventually led to Crystal Palace’s Jesse Derry scoring the opener.
This impressive attacking prowess will please Slot who is keen on his defenders moving high up the pitch.

Moreover, 17-year-old Nyoni also made his mark in this game. The forward picked up the ball on the edge of the box, took a couple of touches before firing beyond the Portuguese keeper to make it 2-0.
Nyoni had a wonderful pre-season under Slot, and with performances like this, the Reds manager will have a lot of thinking to do when deciding his squad for the Nottingham Forest game on 14 September.
