Liverpool closed out their United States pre-season tour in emphatic fashion on Saturday night, hammering Manchester United 3-0 at the Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia.
Goals from Fabio Carvalho, Curtis Jones and Kostas Tsimikas were enough to see Arne Slot’s side past the Red Devils, who had their chances to fire back. However a strong first-half goalkeeping performance from Caoimhin Kelleher preserved the clean sheet.

Arne Slot spots issue in Man United win
Whilst satisfied with the result, Slot wasn't totally pleased with the performance as he admitted his disappointment at how often the Red Devils posed an attacking threat.
"Yes, I was – but not with all of them," Slot told the club's official website in response to be asked if he was pleased with many aspects of his side's performance.
"We are very happy with the result, we scored some really nice goals. But I don't think we had enough control over the game because United were threatening us more than a few times.

Ryan Gravenberch is one of those back with the Liverpool squad, and Arne Slot has already told him about his role for the upcoming season.
The Dutchman is back from Euro 2024 and has spent some time with Slot now and really likes what he's hearing. "Really good impressions," Gravenberch said of meeting Slot, per LFCTV.

Liverpool reject Fabio Carvalho bid
Liverpool have rejected an offer from Southampton for Fabio Carvalho.
As revealed by The Athletic's David Ornstein, the South Coast outfit were interested in signing the 21-year-old in the January transfer window prior to joining Hull City on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
And after winning promotion back to the Premier League, the Saints expressed an interest in Carvalho again, and that has since been followed up with an approach to sign the midfielder permanently.
