Despite being sidelined with a back injury at the beginning of the season, the player is making positive progress towards a recovery.

He posted an update about his injury and how he is back running on his Instagram account earlier this week, before confirming he passed his driving test - yet another momentous moment for the teenager.

The youngster is regarded very highly at the club after catching the eye last season by scoring an ample amount of goals for the club's academy sides and even making his mark on the first team.

But he is yet to prove himself in front of Arne Slot after injury prevented him from being involved with the first team since the summer.

Arne Slot's plans for Jayden Danns revealed

In an update on his YouTube channel, journalist David Lynch for Anfield Agenda said: "Liverpool’s plan isn’t necessarily to loan him out straight away but for him to be involved in first-team training.

“The idea is to get him in and around training between now and January, let the manager have a really close look at him because he’s a very promising player, and then make the decision on whether he makes the move out and goes for a loan in the second half of the season.

“He’s very, very close now to coming back.”

The 18-year-old is considered to be a talent the club wants to work closely with in the future and the sooner Arne Slot gets to see what the player can do, the quicker his development can be fast-tracked.

Across seven appearances for the Liverpool U21s last season, Danns scored three goals and one assist.

However, it was Danns' involvement in Liverpool's domestic cup sides that really brought the player to fans' attention.

With just nine minutes of professional experience in Liverpool's first team against Luton in the Premier League, he was brought on days later in the Reds' Carabao Cup winning match against Chelsea in a contest dubbed 'Klopp's kids versus the Blue Billion Pound Bottlejobs'.
