In a recent interview, Liverpool's 18-year-old midfielder Harvey Elliott has waxed lyrical about Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah.

Elliott is having a breakthrough season in the Premier League. Even though he was hit with a horrible injury early on in the campaign, the 18-year-old is still in and around the squad at all times.

Having only played 10 games this season, the teenager will be hoping for more opportunities during the remainder of the season.

Despite this lack of game time, Elliott has always remained very positive about his once in a lifetime opportunity, as was clear in his most recent interview.

In the interview with UMM, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, the youngster has claimed that Mo Salah is the best player in the world currently.

"Who wouldn't love playing with Mo Salah?" said Elliott. "In my opinion, he's the best in the world. Alongside Trent on that right side - it's a dream for any youngster."

Harvey also spoke about Klopp and said that he is like a father figure to him, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account.

"The warmth that he brings - it's a joke. He is [a father figure]. You see it a lot, how he is with players, his players and how he interacts with the fans.

"He's the best possible man for the job. He is the best possible person to be learning off."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Even if you disagree with some of the things Elliott has done, you can't knock his amazing attitude. He is always very positive and even if he is going through a rough patch at the moment, his head is always held high.

Speaking recently about the lack of game-time for Elliott, Klopp said that it's down to the competition for places and not his injury.

"We're not managing him (Elliott) really to be honest. It's the competition for places and stuff like this," said Klopp.

"He was really long out, came back and immediately looked, 'Wow, he's back!' But then everything settles slightly and that's how it is.

"A completely normal situation, it's all fine. He's training well, it's all fine."
