Here’s our round-up of all the latest Liverpool news for Monday 16 September as the Reds strike a "momentous" deal with Saudi Arabia, and fans demand Arne Slot starts an 'important midfielder against AC Milan.
Bruno Fernandes infuriates Liverpool fans
Liverpool’s defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest on Saturday was one to forget and it was made even worse by Bruno Fernandes' comments.
A day where a win seemed routine at Anfield quickly turned into a nightmare as Arne Slot’s men struggled to create anything meaningful against the Midlands club.
The Reds poor showing was punished by Forest, who nicked a win thanks to Callum Hudson-Odoi’s wonder strike.
To make matters worse, fans and players of opposition teams were quick to rub salt into the wounds, with one Manchester United player relishing Liverpool’s demise.

Liverpool confirm 'MOMENTOUS' Saudi Arabia deal
Liverpool have confirmed a deal that has been described as 'momentous' agreement in Saudi Arabia.
In the last few years, Saudi Arabia have become a developing football nation. A lot of money has been invested in the country to improve the infrastructure and status of the game.
At the same time, the Saudi Pro League continues to attract some of the world's elite stars and its clubs are growing in stature.
Fans demand Slot starts important midfielder
Liverpool fans seemingly all want Arne Slot to start one midfielder against AC Milan, who he described as 'important' in the past.
Arne Slot hasn't really rotated his squad too much so far during his Liverpool tenure.
In his first four games in charge of the club, he's only started 12 players. But that should change at the San Siro on Tuesday night.
The Reds' stars were visibly lethargic against Nottingham Forest at the weekend after a gruelling international break.
Some of them will need to recharge and rest, which means Slot will need to use his fringe players on his Champions League bow as the club's head coach.

CL legend exiled by Milan supremo
Liverpool icon Divock Origi will not be involved in Liverpool and AC Milan’s Champions League clash on Tuesday, with the Belgian forward exiled to the reserves by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Origi left Liverpool on a free transfer in 2022, after a brilliant Anfield career which included a Premier League win and a Champions League final goal when Liverpool won the trophy in Madrid.
Since leaving Merseyside he has struggled to find the form which led to Jurgen Klopp branding him a 'Liverpool legend', and naming his late winner amongst his top 10 moments as Liverpool manager, with a loan spell at Nottingham Forest failing to reignite his career.
On his return to Milan, after managing just one goal for Forest, Milan’s senior club advisor and legendary forward, Ibrahimovic, confirmed Origi had been stripped of his squad number and was going to play for Milan Futuro, in the Italian third division.
