Liverpool had gone soft, says Sam McGuire. There’s no way of dressing it up either. Over the past couple of seasons, a club famed for their data-driven approach had been shaped by sentiment.

And it is no doubt why they keep finding themselves in unenviable situations.

The new regime needs to put a stop to this, even if it does rock the boat.  How they handle the situation with Virgil van Dijk, Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold could shape the new era of the club. A more ruthless approach could see the Reds return to the very top.

Jurgen Klopp's time at Liverpool is coming to an end but the 56-year-old has now revealed that he previously rejected an offer from the Reds.

The Liverpool boss will take charge of his final match this Sunday against Wolves at Anfield in what promises to be an incredibly emotional occasion.

The much-loved Liverpool manager has now revealed that he once rejected an approach from the Reds while managing at Borussia Dortmund in 2012.

Jurgen Klopp is taking NO prisoners on his way out of the Liverpool exit door.

The departing Anfield manager has taken aim at matchday officials once again, stating that the people, not the technology, is the main reason he dislikes video assistant referees (VAR).

And, on that basis, if he had his choice he would vote to scrap its usage.

Just when FSG are looking to get into multi-club ownership, the idea is facing incredible opposition across world football.

It's now known that FSG want to invest in multi-club ownership. That's part of the plan in bringing Michael Edwards into the fold - he's not at Liverpool, after all, but overseeing the entirety of their football project.

That project will bring more clubs under the FSG umbrella in what is becoming an increasingly larger part of football. But is it one that faces a grim future?

Fabio Carvalho has ended the season with an award - capping a wonderful turnaround in what has been a strange campaign.

Fabio Carvalho has won EFL Young Player of the Month for April, capping off a fantastic second half of the season for the on-loan Liverpool player. The Portuguese playmaker scored five times and assisted a couple more across seven games.

Carvalho went to Hull City in January after a disastrous spell at RB Leipzig. He barely featured there - just 136 Bundesliga minutes from August through December.
