"Fantastic player" - Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson on Jude Bellingham

Liverpool's Jordan Henderson has spoken about his England teammate Jude Bellingham who has been linked with a move to Anfield.

Speaking to Sportbible, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, the Liverpool skipper praised the 18-year-old, saying the 'sky is the limit' for his career.

“I have been very impressed. I like the way he plays. I like his personality, which is the most important thing. I like the way he conducts himself. I’ve got nothing but good things to say about him,” said Henderson.

“He’s a great lad, a fantastic player and I’m sure he’ll go from strength to strength as he gets older and matures. When I watch him, he plays with such maturity even now. The sky is the limit for him really.

“He’s still very young, he’s doing so well at Dortmund [and] he’s done well whenever he’s played for England. For me, let’s just let him play football. Let him enjoy it because he is such a special talent.

“Yes, he’s got leadership qualities for sure but there’s no need to put that pressure on him right now. Let him grow into the person that he can be on his own. He’s got his feet firmly on the ground [and] has such maturity for a young player.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

Jude has been linked with a move to Liverpool for a long time now and his close relationship with Hendo only makes fans believe he will end up at Anfield one day.

However, Liverpool aren't the only club after Bellingham, with Real Madrid apparently now interested in the 18-year-old.

According to BILD, as cited by Anfield Watch,  both clubs are interested in acquiring Bellingham's services but they'd most likely have to wait until 2023 to pry him away from Borussia Dortmund.

Hopefully, the fact his family are Liverpool supporters and his idol is Steven Gerrard means that he will choose the Reds over Madrid.
