The season is over and we're firmly heading into pre-season and the transfer window. But there is still some football on the mind at Liverpool - players are getting called up for Euro 2024.
This week saw Ben Doak join Curtis Jones and Jarell Quansah as first-time call-ups ahead of the tournament. Will he make the senior squad?
There's also a public advert out of Liverpool as they hunt for a new coach and Pep Lijnders might be ready to raid the Reds.
Here's our Liverpool FC news recap for Wednesday.
Ben Doak gets Scotland nod
Liverpool’s Ben Doak is a shock inclusion in Scotland’s provisional squad for Euro 2024. The winger has just 30 Premier League minutes TOTAL.
Former Liverpool assistant manager Steve Clarke announced his provisional squad for Scotland's Euro 2024 campaign on Wednesday. There was one complete shock inclusion: Ben Doak.
The teenager is uncapped at senior level and while his Under 21 performances have been brilliant, Doak has virtually no senior experience even at club level. He's missed most of this season through injury, in fact.

Liverpool place LinkedIn ad
Almost the entirety of Jurgen Klopp’s backroom team has been cleared out with Pep Lijnders heading to RB Salzburg and plenty more departures already confirmed.
One man who will be staying on is Brazil’s World Cup-winning goalkeeper, Claudio Taffarel, who works in the goalkeeping department alongside compatriot Alisson Becker.
There is one more appointment the Reds are keen to make this summer however and the process has been kicked off quite democratically on LinkedIn.
So if you’ve got a UEFA A License (or equivalent) then you could be Liverpool’s new Set Piece Coach.

Lijnders wants Bradley
Outgoing assistant manager Pep Lijnders isn't quite ready to lose all of his Liverpool connections. The Dutchman is already seeking a reunion with one of his former charges as he heads off this summer to join Red Bull Salzburg as head coach.
Speaking to Redmen TV following the announcement of his departure, Lijnders expressed pride in the development of several young players this season, especially young defender Conor Bradley.
"I believed really in Conor Bradley, and Jarell [Quansah] and Caoimhin Kelleher, and Harvey Elliot, and Curtis [Jones]," he said.
"But Conor, what is he doing here? [...] He can come to Salzburg immediately, by the way."

Hull want McConnell
Hull City are poised to further capitalise on their positive relationship with Liverpool, targeting yet another promising talent from Anfield following the successful loan spells of Tyler Morton and Fabio Carvalho.
Morton spent the whole 2023/24 season on Humberside, making 39 appearances, scoring three goals and getting five assists.
Carvalho, meanwhile, joined him there in January after an unsuccessful time at RB Leipzig, bagging nine goals and two assists in just 20 matches.
Now, according to the Hull Daily Mail, the Tigers are reportedly interested in securing James McConnell on a season-long loan, aiming to offer the young midfielder regular Championship football and a similar platform to develop his skills.

Bijlow played four times in the Champions League last season - against Lazio twice, Atletico Madrid and Celtic - and is reported to have been watched by Liverpool and Arsenal scouts.
