If you didn’t have a chance to follow the beginning of the season, we will provide you with a short review. Moreover, we will also go over what can be expected from the rest of the season as well as some tips that might help you place bets on your favourite team. Read on for some insights.

Liverpool’s season so far

While you might not need a reminder if you’ve carefully been following this season, we should still go over the matches that Liverpool has played in the Premier League up to this point. Here is a short review of the 30 games that have left the team in 8th place with 47 points. There have been 13 wins, 8 draws and 9 losses.

After a 3-1 win against Manchester City in the FA Community Shield, the season started fairly tame. There was a draw against Fulham (2-2) and one against Crystal Palace at home (1-1). After scoring against Fulham, Núñez was sent off against Palace in the 57th minute. Next was a trip to Old Trafford that resulted in a 2-1. After Manchester United’s Sancho and Rashford scored, all the Reds could manage was one goal from Salah.

Luis Diaz

The biggest win of the season came next when Liverpool defeated Bournemouth at home 9-0, with Díaz and Firmino scoring twice and Elliott, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, and Carvalho all adding their names to the list of goalscorers. There was also an own goal from Mepham. A 2-1 win against Newcastle followed, with Firmino and Carvalho scoring again. The Liverpool derby against Everton ended goalless while the match against Brighton & Hove saw six goals and ended in a draw.

The rest of the October matches were a bit tumultuous. Against Arsenal, Núñez and Firmino scored, but it was not enough as the Gunners had a 76-minute penalty that allowed them to secure victory. Liverpool had two 1-0 wins following this loss, over Manchester City and West Ham United. However, the streak did not last long as they lost to Nottingham Forest (0-1) and Leeds United (1-2).

The Reds returned to form and had four consecutive matches in the Premier League in November and December. First came the win over Tottenham, where Salah scored twice. Then, Firmino and Núñez secured a 3-1 win over Southampton. Salah, Van Dijk and Bajcetic ensured the score was the same against Aston Villa. Lastly, on December 30, Liverpool won 2-1 against Leicester City, even though all three goals were scored by the Foxes, with Faes having two own goals.

The year 2023 did not have the best of starts, with Liverpool losing to Brentford 3-1 and Brighton 3-0. The big match against Chelsea was a goalless draw, and then the Wolves beat the Reds 3-0. The season picked up a bit after that, as the team had an undefeated streak of five games. First, Liverpool won the city derby 2-0 against Everton, with goals from Salah and Gakpo. Gakpo scored again, as did Núñez, in the 2-0 win over Newcastle United. The second match against Crystal Palace ended in a 0-0 draw, while the Reds got their revenge over Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Van Dijk and Salah scoring the two goals. Liverpool’s second biggest win of the season came in the match against Manchester United. In the 7-0 match, Gakpo, Núñez, and Salah all got two goals while Firmino scored once.

The team took another stumble by losing 1-0 against Bournemouth, in a match where Salah missed a penalty. This defeat was followed by another one from Manchester City. Salah scored in this 4-1 loss. The second game against Chelsea also ended 0-0 and the match against Arsenal 2-2. In the latter, the Reds caught up after losing 2-0, but Salah missed another penalty that might have been enough for the win. However, Liverpool bounced back in a 6-1 away victory against Leeds United. Gakpo, Salah (2), Jota (2), and Núñez all scored.

Seeing as how fun matches can be, many followers like to test their luck and knowledge, as well as experience a rush of adrenaline, by placing a couple of wagers to support either their favourite team or the one they think is the favourite to win. Remaining matches of the season

With that in mind, if you’re thinking of making a few bets of your own, you should be aware of all the upcoming matches and when they will be played.

For starters, on April 22, Liverpool will host Nottingham Forest. They are currently in the relegation zone with 27 points. Moreover, their form is not the best, with four losses and one draw in the last five games.

The next game is only a few days later, on the 26th. Liverpool will travel to London to face off against West Ham United. The Hammers are currently 15th on the table with 31 points. Their last five games include two draws, two wins, and a loss.

In the following three games, Liverpool gets to play at Anfield. The Spurs are slated to visit first on April 30. Tottenham is currently fifth on the table, with 53 points. Their current form (W-D-D-W-L) can be a threat, but the Reds might be able to recreate the win from the first half of the season.

On May 3, Liverpool will welcome Fulham for a match that was originally supposed to take place on March 18 but was postponed as Fulham played in the FA Cup quarterfinals. The Cottagers are currently 10th but in poor form, having lost their last four matches.

Brentford is next to visit Anfield on May 6. Liverpool will be looking to avoid a repeat of the match that was played earlier this year. While Brentford is just below Liverpool on the table, they are in poorer form, with three losses and two draws in the last five matches.

Jurgen Klopp

Leicester City is also in the relegation zone – currently 19th with 25 points. They have lost four of their last five matches. The match on May 15 seems like it could go in the Reds’ favour, but nothing is certain with these former champs.

The last match Liverpool will play at home in the 2022/23 season will be against Aston Villa. The Birmingham team is in good form, having won all of their last five matches. They are currently sixth, with three more points than Liverpool. It could prove to be a difficult opponent on May 20.

Finally, for the last match of the season, Liverpool will travel to Southampton on May 28. Seeing as how the Saints are currently last on the table, everyone is expecting a win from Liverpool.

Useful tips for betting on Liverpool matches

If you decide to bet on Liverpool and this is your first time doing so, you don’t want to jump in head-first. You should do some research beforehand to ensure you understand what you’re getting yourself into.

First, you need to find a reliable bookmaker. Check their reputation online through review websites, comments, and ratings. You also want to see the selection of bets they offer. It’s good to look for someone who offers regular bets and prop bets, as that way you can bet on anything from the winner of the match to the top scorer. In addition, you want to be on the lookout for different bonuses you can use. For instance, there are welcome and no-deposit bonuses for new punters, as well as reload bonuses and loyalty rewards later on. All of these can help you maximise your chances of winning.

Something else you need to pay attention to is the form of the teams that are playing. See how well they’ve been doing, whether they’re on a winning streak, and if any of their star players are injured or not playing. All of this can affect the result, which is why you want to think about it before you place a bet. While you might love the team with all your heart, it’s not recommended to put all your money on the line in a match that’s not a sure win.

It’s not been the best of seasons, that’s for sure. But, you can still watch the upcoming games and cheer on the Reds.
