Wage demands of reported Liverpool target revealed by ESPN

The wage demands of Borussia Dortmund forward and reported Liverpool target Erling Haaland have been revealed by ESPN.

The 21-year-old is reportedly requesting €550,000-a-week from any club showing interest in him. Manchester United, Manchester City and a host of European clubs are also tracking Haaland.

The Norway international's current deal expires in the summer of 2024.

Haaland

Anfield Watch Verdict

Haaland is a terrific player. The striker has scored 76 goals and registered 21 assists in 76 appearances for Borussia Dortmund's first-team.

Haaland has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.74 across the 2021-22 campaign.

Therefore, the 21-year-old has every right to demand hefty wages. However, if Haaland does want €550,000-a-week, we don't see Liverpool signing him.

According to Spotrac, centre-back Virgil van Dijk is the club's highest earner (£220,000-a-week).

With that being the case, we believe that Liverpool would be reluctant to pay Haaland what he wants.

Also, the striker would cost the club a bit of money in terms of a transfer fee. Haaland reportedly possesses a release clause of €75 million (active in the summer). The striker won't come cheap.
