Virgil van Dijk hails Liverpool's new arrivals after settling in so quickly

Virgil van Dijk has expressed his delight at how smoothly Liverpool's summer signings have settled in at the club.

Liverpool brought in midfield quartet Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch in the summer, and all four have in their own right impressed during their early careers at Anfield.

Mac Allister and Szoboszlai have already become regular fixtures of Jurgen Klopp's midfield three, starting the vast majority of Liverpool's Premier League games so far this season.

Meanwhile, Endo and Gravenberch are beginning to consistently dazzle fans with their performances, with both most recently getting on the scoresheet in Liverpool's midweek Europa League win over Toulouse.

Ahead of their clash with Nottingham Forest this Sunday, Reds captain Van Dijk has hailed the new boys for their valuable contributions to the side's encouraging start to the season.

"One of the most pleasing things about the season so far is the way that the new players have settled in," Van Dijk wrote in his programme notes.

"Dominik, Alexis, Wataru and Ryan are all different players with different personalities, but each of them in their own way has come into the club and adapted with very little fuss.

"I would like to think that part of the reason for this is that we are a welcoming club, but even if this is the case you still need the individuals themselves to arrive with a positive attitude and a willingness to fit in.

"We're only in late October now so it is important to remember, though, that no matter how well the new boys have settled in they will still be finding their feet.

"It is up to the rest of us to keep on giving them whatever support and encouragement they need.

"As individuals and as a group they have already made a positive impression, so long may that continue."
