Egypt came up against Ivory Coast in the last-16 of the Africa Cup of Nations yesterday.

The game was level at 0-0 after extra-time. With that being the case, the match went to penalties.

As you can see in the footage below, which is property of Sky Sports, Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah scored the decisive penalty to send Egypt to the quarter-finals.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Salah is a world-class footballer. The winger has scored 23 goals and registered nine assists in 26 appearances for Liverpool this season.

Therefore, we were not surprised to see Salah deliver for his country.

Egypt will face Morocco in the quarter-finals.
