"There were a lot of positives from tonight" - Harvey Elliott on Palace clash

Harvey Elliott has given his thoughts on Liverpool's performance against Crystal Palace at Anfield last night.

The Premier League fixture ended in a 1-1 draw. Despite that being the case, Elliott believes Liverpool can take positives from the match.

As quoted by Anfield Watch on Twitter, the Reds midfielder told the club's official website the following: "There were a lot of positives from tonight – a lot more than the Fulham game, so it’s a stepping stone for us. We just need to make sure we get the three points now.

"Man United is always going to be a tough game away at their place. We’re just going to be fully focused and with full fight and hopefully we can go in and put it right this time.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

We do agree with Elliott to a certain degree. Liverpool were lively for the majority of the game.

But, we would have preferred the Reds to play poorly and gain the three points.

As Elliott stated, Liverpool next's clash is against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have had a really poor start to the campaign. Erik ten Hag's side have lost their opening two games.

So, hopefully Liverpool can take advantage of Manchester United's situation. Only time will tell if that is to be the case.

The Reds defeated Manchester United 5-0 at Old Trafford last season. Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick on the day.

We'd love to see a similar result next Monday. However, we are realistic.
