Liverpool reporter Ian Doyle has said that the summer transfer window this year could see a significant set of both arrivals and departures.
The summer market last year was pretty quiet from Liverpool with just Ibrahima Konate arriving, and the expectation since then has been that summer 2022 would see more changes.
Indeed, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, that seems to be something that Ian Doyle subscribes to as well:
.@IanDoyleSport: "All logic points to the fact FSG are going to spend reasonably big this summer. I'm fully expecting there to be a few notable departures, and I think there are some key areas that will need improving - midfield and the forward line." #awlive [liverpool echo]
Anfield Watch Verdict
This isn't the first time we've heard such suggestions and it will doubtless be the last either.
The Reds have got a good squad but it does need additions and with a view to the future.
It just remains to be seen who arrives and who leaves.
