Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott could return to team training in the early stages of 2022, according to The Athletic, as cited by LFC Transfer Room's Twitter account.
The 18-year-old broke his ankle against Leeds United at Elland Road back in mid-September.
Despite that being the case, Elliott is reportedly a chance to return to team training in January. Therefore, the Englishman could be available for the final three months of the season.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Elliott had a solid start to the 2021-22 Premier League campaign. The midfielder averaged a WhoScored player rating of 6.59 in Liverpool's opening four matches.
Therefore, it was a shame to see Elliott go down with a serious injury back in mid-September. We can't wait to see the talented 18-year-old back in action.
However, we do understand that it might take Elliott some time to get back to his best. It is very rare you see a footballer hit the ground running after a lengthy layoff.
