Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Luis Diaz from FC Porto and it looks as though it could be done over the weekend as things stand.
Certainly, this transfer story came out of the blue a little bit at the end of this week but it very much looks as though a transfer is on the cards.
Exciting times, then, but one of the questions has to be what could that mean for Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi.
According to the Echo, though, this transfer does not mean they have to leave:
🚨 NEW: Liverpool’s move for Porto’s Luis Diaz is not dependent on anyone leaving the club in the January transfer window. That means the Reds are not expecting to lose either Takumi Minamino or Divock Origi before the end of the month. #awlive [liverpool echo] pic.twitter.com/oZCjRl0TQJ

Anfield Watch Verdict
Minamino and Origi have both been fringe players for the duration of their respective Liverpool careers and this arrival probably knocks them down the pecking order a little bit more.
We'll soon see if either leave before Monday but it sounds as though it is not a necessity at least.
A busy few days could be in store.
