Report claims that signing Borussia Dortmund star is 'achievable' for Liverpool
Liverpool could potentially afford to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, according to The Echo, as cited by Anfield Edition's Twitter account.
The Reds have been linked with a move for the 18-year-old for quite some time. However, Bellingham will reportedly cost £90 million (transfer fee).
Despite that being the case, the Liverpool Echo has claimed that signing the Englishman is 'achievable' for the Reds.
The newspaper said the following: "While that [£90m] may seem likely to price him [Bellingham] out of what FSG usually do, his age and profile, as well as an amortisation cost of £18m over the course of a five-year deal - the longer the better - means that it is something that is achievable."
Anfield Watch Verdict
Bellingham is a player that we would love to see Liverpool sign, as he does possess talent. The midfielder has scored eight goals and registered 14 assists in 74 appearances for Borussia Dortmund's first-team.
Bellingham has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.28 across the 2021-22 Bundesliga campaign.
As we have already pointed out, the Englishman is only 18 years of age. Therefore, it would be fair to assume that Bellingham is far from the finished article.
Also, the midfielder could represent Liverpool for over a decade due to his age. Only time will tell if the Reds are to make a move for Bellingham.
