Real Madrid could beat Liverpool to another midfield signing after they won the race for Aurelien Tchouameni.
According to Mirror Sport, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Real Madrid are hopeful of signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder and reported Reds target Jude Bellingham.
This comes after the Spanish Champions won the race to sign Monaco's Tchouameni, who Liverpool were heavily linked with.
The Bellingham saga has been brought to the forefront of the transfer window after PacojoSER, as cited by The Madrid Zone on Twitter, has reported that Real Madrid are in talks with Borussia Dortmund for Bellingham.
Real Madrid believe that the England international is worth around €90 million.
However, in the same report, as cited by the Empire of the Kop, the Spanish publication claims that Liverpool are also prepared to bid for Bellingham, with the Reds willing to pay €100 million.

Anfield Watch Verdict
Liverpool's interest in Bellingham has been no secret. Melissa Reddy of Sky Sports, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, even said that if the opportunity arises, the Reds will try and sign him.
"Jude Bellingham is a talent who absolutely fits the club's stylistic profile and vision of building for the future - it is no secret that Liverpool would want him for the right fee at the right time," she said.
James Pearce of The Athletic, as cited by AW on Twitter, also said that he'd be amazed if Liverpool weren't interested in signing Bellingham.
He said: "I'd be amazed if LFC aren't interested as he's a very talented young player but whether that leads to an approach next summer is a very different matter."
If the Reds are genuinely interested in Bellingham, then they can't let him slip through their fingers.
He's the perfect Jugen Klopp signing and we need to make sure we beat every other club interested in him when the time comes.
If he costs €100 million then so be it. Bellingham is young and talented, which is why top clubs are being linked with him. He is worth the money.
