"He's a massive player, he's been brilliant. I watched him the whole of last season and just the way he plays, I think it's almost similar to me (in) the way he attacks and stuff like that, we're both still young. But he's an unreal player," he said.
"So to be coming in here and learning off him, it's just going to be amazing for me and I'm going to learn a lot.
"Even before there was interest from Liverpool, I looked up to him because he's similar to the way that I play, like I said – his attacking, his crossing, he can use both feet, his passing range is obviously quite similar to mine."
Anfield Watch Verdict
Liverpool's new signing is exactly what we've been after for about three seasons now.
Alexander-Arnold is our most important player. But, we haven't possessed a right-back with similar attributes to the Scouser who has been willing to play second fiddle.
However, with the addition of Ramsay, that has now changed.
The 18-year-old would've seen Kostas Tsimikas' (left-back) rise within the Liverpool team last campaign (26 appearances as Andy Robertson's backup) and realised that he would get his fair share of game time under Jurgen Klopp.
Even though he's only a kid, Ramsay is considered one of Scotland's hottest prospects and Liverpool only paid £6.5 million to sign him.
If he becomes half as good as Alexander-Arnold, then it's money well spent.
