Back in May 2005, Liverpool defeated AC Milan 3-2 on penalties to claim the Champions League trophy.

Forward Luis Garcia was part of the Reds side which won the final in Istanbul. With that being the case, the Spaniard was awarded a winners medal at the end of the match.

Garcia recently took to Instagram to reveal that he is keeping a close eye on his medal while his house is under construction.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Winning the European Cup is a special achievement. Therefore, we aren't shocked to see that Garcia values his winners medal.

On another note, Garcia was a fine player for Liverpool. The forward scored 30 goals and registered 12 assists in 121 appearances for the club's first-team.

Garcia also won three major trophies with the Reds.
