Former Newcastle United forward Alan Shearer was impressed with Caoimhin Kelleher's performance against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
Liverpool's shot-stopper made some decent saves against the Blues. With that being the case, Shearer named Kelleher in his Premier League Team of the Week.
“Produced three outstanding saves and couldn’t do a thing about the two goals Liverpool conceded in their 2-2 draw at Chelsea,” the 51-year-old told the Premier League’s official website.

We were also impressed with Kelleher's performance against Chelsea. The 23-year-old goalkeeper registered a WhoScored player rating of 6.86 against the Blues.
Alisson (when available) is obviously Liverpool's No.1 goalkeeper. But, last weekend highlighted that the Reds do possess a potential No.1 in Kelleher.
But, Alisson is only 29-years of age. With that being the case, it would be fair to assume that his career is far from finished.
Liverpool may struggle to retain Kelleher in the coming years. No talented footballer wants to consistently sit on the bench.
Only time will tell where Kelleher's long-term future lies.
