Liverpool are set to face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on the 10th of April.
The Premier League clash could very well be the title decider. Manchester City sit at the top the table.
Liverpool on the other hand sit in second-place and are only one point behind the Citizens.
However, Jota has implied that his side have a difficult task ahead of them as they are up against a "great team".
As quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, the 25-year-old told Viaplay the following: "(We are up against a) great team. Obviously, we all know they have some Portuguese guys (Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva and Ruben Diaz) as well, we all meet up now in the international team.
"We always discuss that kind of rivalry. But when the game comes we'll face it like every other one."
Anfield Watch Verdict
Jota is spot on. Manchester City are an elite football team.
A lot will have to go right for Liverpool if they are to pip the Citizens to the Premier League title. But, the task the Reds are faced with is far from impossible.
We loved Jota's comments regarding the upcoming fixture between the two sides. At the end of the day, it is just another fixture.
We want the players to stay calm and collected. If the Reds go into the match too wound up, Manchester City could capitalise on that emotion.
The calmer team tends to win. In saying that, the next couple of months are going to be stressful for both sets of supporters.
