Liverpool's other assistant manager, Peter Krawietz, will take the pre-match press conference for the Reds on Saturday afternoon, ahead of the clash with Sky Bet League One side Shrewsbury Town in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
The Reds are in the midst of a covid situation that has left the club down to the bare bones and then some in terms of senior players and senior staff members being available.
That in mind, then, the usual protocols of a pre-match press conference will take place the day before and with Klopp and Lijnders not available tomorrow, the duty now falls to Krawietz:
Isolation rules mean Jurgen Klopp could be back on the touchline for Sunday's visit of Shrewsbury, which FA rules dictate must go ahead even if Liverpool have to play a combination of senior players and Academy youngsters, as per @LivEchoLFC
Anfield Watch Verdict
Of course, it has been a trying time for all involved at Liverpool in the last few weeks but it has given us an opportunity to see a bit more of some of the other staff behind recent successes at the club and that is perhaps one silver lining.
It'll be interesting to listen to Krawietz and watch how he deals with the media, as he obviously hasn't done that since his arrival at Liverpool.
He's another key member of Jurgen Klopp's team, though, so it'll be good to see what he is about.
