Mainz forward Karim Onisiwo has recently been talking about his dreams.
It is important to note that the Reds have not been linked with a move for the Austria international.
As quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Onisiwo told Sky Austria the following: "These are always wishes or dreams. Of course, the Premier League is amazing, and I’d take any club. But my favourite club is Liverpool.
“I’m in good shape, of course, but still my rate has to improve so that a Premier League club is still interested in me at my age. But I work hard on myself and try to improve every day.”
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Onisiwo is a decent player. The striker has found the back of the net 19 times and registered 21 assists in 145 appearances for Mainz.
Onisiwo has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 6.79 in the early stages of the 2021-22 Bundesliga campaign.
But, we do believe that the Austria international would have to improve his game if he wants to catch Liverpool's attention.
Also, as we have already pointed out, Onisiwo is 29 years of age. Therefore, the forward's career is coming to an end.
Due to the aforementioned reasons, we can't see Onisiwo representing the Reds in the future.
