We are currently at the stage of Mohamed Salah’s career where he breaks a new record every week, and it was the same again at Molineux on Saturday

The Egyptian provided two assists in Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Wolves on Saturday, the first of which a beautiful cross for Cody Gakpo which was Salah’s 200th Premier League goal contribution for the Reds.

Only eight players in the Premier League's 30-year history have reached this number for a single club. It's an exclusive list that includes the likes of Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero.

Salah wasn’t the quickest player to reach this milestone, however, which we all know will slightly annoy the 31-year-old.

Arsenal’s Thierry Henry only need 206 matches to be directly involved in 200 top-flight goals, with Salah’s hat trick of assists yesterday coming in his 223rd Premier League match for Liverpool.

In Salah’s six full seasons with Liverpool, he has averaged 51 games and 31 goals a season, only missing 10 Premier League matches in that time.

In an interview with TNT Sports, Jurgen Klopp revealed that Salah is well-informed of the goalscoring records he can break.

“He knows the numbers, he know everything,” Klopp said. “He knows before all of us that there’s a record around the corner he can grab. He doesn’t need help there.

"Over the years I think the way we played helped him, the way we set a team up. We had to change it over the years as well, he knows that.

"He loves being involved in tactical stuff - in the end he wants to be in front of the goal and if I give him a position where he's not in the opposite box I'm not sure he would love it.”

Salah left the field with the Man of the Match award on Saturday and his latest goal contributions saw him join another unusual but impressive list.

The forward is now also only the fourth different player to assist a goal in five consecutive Premier League away games – after Muzzy Izzet, Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Deulofeu.
