Mo Salah takes Liverpool form to Egypt in stunning 6-0 display
Mo Salah continued his remarkable Liverpool form while away with Egypt. The forward put in a stunning display in a 6-0 win.
Mo Salah has been sensational for Liverpool so far this season. He's got 10 goals in his first 12 Premier League games - on course to break his own record.
And the forward has continued that form while away with his national side. Egypt smashed Djibouti 6-0 on Thursday evening and the Liverpool star bagged four.
Not only that but he scored the first four goals, including a hat trick completed right after half-time.
The opener saw Egypt win the ball high up the pitch before playing a ball down the left flank. One quick pass across the box found a waiting Salah who tapped home.
Egypt then won a penalty on 19 minutes. Salah was naturally the one to step up for it and he dispatched it emphatically - smashing it into the top-left corner for 2-0.
Goal no.3 wasn't too dissimilar from the first. Egypt again found space on the left, worked it well, then drove the ball across the box for Salah. He nudged the ball into the net to essentially wrap the fixture up.
But he wasn't done there. Salah actually took a second touch for his fourth goal - the only one he did. He moved into the middle of the box to receive a high ball, and controlled it with his left before spinning and firing it home inside the far post.
All in all, what more could you ask for? Salah is in remarkable form and it appears that his time away with the national team isn't going to change that.
You always want your stars to either find or maintain their form through this period. Salah is doing just that and Manchester City certainly won't want to see it.
