Liverpool will face Atalanta in the Europa League quarter-final, with a potential semi-final against either Benfica or Marseille should they progress.
The Reds breezed through qualification in the 2023/24 group stage and topped the standings with little fuss, therefore securing direct passage to the last 16.
Jurgen Klopp's side were drawn against Sparta Prague, thrashing the Czech champions 11-2 on aggregate after a 5-1 victory at the epet Arena and a 6-1 win at Anfield.
Liverpool will now have to turn their attention to a tricky tie against Italian side Atalanta in the final eight, a team that the Reds have recent history against.
The two clubs have only met twice before but those clashes came in the 2020/21 Champions League group stage, with mixed results for the Reds.
Liverpool won the away fixture 5-0 thanks to a Diogo Jota hat-trick, but lost the home leg 2-0 following some rotation from Klopp.
Atalanta managed to triumph in their last 16 tie against rumoured Liverpool managerial target Ruben Amorim and his Sporting CP side over two tight legs.
If the Reds can get past the Serie A side, then they will face the winner of the quarter-final between Benfica and Marseille in the semi-final.
That means that Liverpool could still meet Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen in the final this May, with the German league leaders having drawn West Ham United. The winner of that quarter-final will face either Milan or Roma.
Both legs of the quarter-final will take place next month, with the first clash at Anfield on 11 April and the reverse fixture in Bergamo on 18 April.
