Liverpool youngster 'not sure' what's happening surrounding his future at Anfield

Caoimhin Kelleher has opened up on his future amid rumours that he could be sent out on loan next season.

Speaking to Independent.ie, as quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, the Liverpool goalkeeper said that he's "not sure" what's happening regarding his future at Anfield.

"I'm not sure on what's happening yet," he said. "I'm still finishing this season and then we will have conversations after that to see what happens."

Kelleher also talked to Independent.ie, as quoted by AW on Twitter, about helping Liverpool win the EFL Cup after his penalty heroics.

The 23-year-old said: "To win a cup with such a big club like Liverpool was obviously a great moment. When you do it once, you kind of want to do it again and again, and get that feeling again.

"It’s given me great motivation to try to do it again and get those experiences again. And it makes you proud, proud to be on a wall with legends like that."

A report from Mail Sport a few weeks ago, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, claimed that Liverpool are looking to sign an extra goalkeeper to their squad for next season to add some further competition for first-team shot-stoppers Alisson Becker and Kelleher.

It's been largely presumed that Adrian won't be staying with Liverpool this season as there have been talks that he could leaving.

If he goes, then it makes sense that the Reds could be in the market for a third-choice goalkeeper.

The only reason why I think Kelleher might depart Anfield this summer is because he's pushing for first-team football which would help him become Ireland's number one.
