"Liverpool were sluggish" - Pundit on prediction for Palace clash

Pundit Mark Lawrenson believes that Liverpool will bounce back against Crystal Palace at Anfield tonight.

The Reds faced off against Fulham at Craven Cottage just over a week ago. However, the Premier League fixture ended in a 2-2 draw.

Despite that being the case, Lawrenson is confident Liverpool can get the job done against Crystal Palace.

He told Paddy Power the following: "I think Palace were a little bit unlucky against Arsenal (2-0 defeat). They had chances at 1-0 down which they should have taken.

"They’re just a good watch, Palace. Patrick Vieira’s done a really good job there. Liverpool were sluggish against Fulham but they’ve had another week of hard training so I’ll go 2-0 to Liverpool."

Anfield Watch Verdict

We are confident that Liverpool can defeat Crystal Palace tonight. The Reds are a world-class team.

There is a reason why Liverpool have won the Champions League, Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Premier League title, League Cup, FA Cup and Community Shield since 2019.

The Reds are a well-drilled unit under Jurgen Klopp. They learn from their mistakes.

However, we are expecting Crystal Palace to come out fighting. The Eagles won't be pleased to have lost their first game of the season.

It is also worth mentioning that there are no easy games in the Premier League. So, if Liverpool are to claim the three points against Crystal Palace, they will have to play well.

But, with Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz up front, the Reds can be slightly off and still gain a result.
