Luis Guilherme’s move from Palmeiras to West Ham is in danger of FALLING APART but don’t expect Liverpool to come back in for his signature.

The 18-year-old Brazilian attacker closed in on a shock move to the Hammers over the weekend, with it hoped that his arrival in East London might smooth the path for Mohammed Kudus to transfer to Liverpool

However, the Guardian is reporting that the move is about to collapse owing to a clash over personal terms offered.

In fact it is claimed that the player and his advisors are instead thinking about a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Elsewhere Football Insider reports that the new Reds’ recruitment team, led by sporting Richard Hughes and FSG’s new CEO of Football Michael Edwards, have DROPPED their interest in Luis Guilherme.

Plans to sign the Palmeiras sensation were formulated over the course of the past year by the previous regime but it now looks like that interest won’t be followed up.

Luis Guilherme chased by top Euro sides

Guilherme was reportedly being pursued by no fewer than NINE top European sides, Liverpool included. Six Premier League teams - including the Reds - have been credited with scouting the 18-year-old.

Guilherme’s agents were reportedly in England last week to seek out a deal for their client, who has become a fixture in the senior squad through 2024.

He’s been a regular in the Copa Libertadores squad, scoring once in five appearances, and has made 18 appearances for his club overall this year. Guilherme has been likened to 2002 World Cup winner and Palmeiras favourite Rivaldo thanks to his silky left foot and ability to glide past markers.

He signed a new contract with the reigning Brazilian champions back in November, having first stepped up to the seniors last April. That deal officially ties him to the Verdao until 2026 but includes a reported €55m (£47m) release clause.

However, it was recently reported that a bid of around €35m (£30m) plus bonuses could be enough to get a deal done.
