Now one German player in the Bundesliga is making a name for himself and attracting big interest from several clubs, one of these being Liverpool.
Why Liverpool are interested in Karim Adeyemi
Karim Adeyemi is one of the hottest prospects in the Bundesliga at the moment. The 22-year-old forward has played a key role for Borussia Dortmund this season, scoring two and gaining an assist in the first 3 games of the campaign.
But it’s not just his goal scoring prowess which is causing clubs to notice him, his speed and ability to beat opponents is next level.
He showcased that in the Champions League final last season. And as per the Bundesliga's official website, he clocked a top speed of 35.35km/h during the 2023/24 which made him one of the fastest wingers in the league.
Excitingly, fichajes.net are now reporting that the Reds are interested in attaining Adeyemi. The article states that “Liverpool is looking to rejuvenate their forward line with young talent to compete in all competitions.”
According to the piece, the Dortmund number 27 has said that he has an ambition to “conquer major titles” which could therefore persuade him to join the Premier League. Adeyemi would be perfect for Liverpool, a pacy winger or striker who may well be the successor to Mohamed Salah, if his contract situation isn’t sorted.
However, it has also stated in the article that it’s not just the Reds who are looking at the young star. Manchester United and Newcastle United are also said to be interested.
Dortmund will find it incredibly difficult to hold onto the attacker and an offer from Liverpool could sway the German to play under the tuition of Arne Slot and take the Premier League by storm.
