Liverpool transfers: Ben Doak wants more game time as Prem clubs circle
Liverpool winger Ben Doak wants to play regular football this upcoming season and he could be loaned out with many teams expressing interest.
Doak is one of several young players at Liverpool who have been raved about in recent years. The winger joined the club from Scottish giants Celtic back in 2022 for a compensation fee worth £600,000.
He made his senior debut for Liverpool at 16 years old when he came off the bench against Derby County in the 2022/23 season.
A few days later he turned 17 and Liverpool handed him his first professional contract emphasising how highly they rate him.

Last season was very unfortunate for Doak as he did look set to have a chance to impress in the senior set-up.
He made five appearances before December but he had to undergo surgery due to a meniscus tear. That ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.

Doak did manage to get a call-up to the Scotland side for the European Championships however another injury issue meant he didn’t travel.
Now he wants to make up for lost time and get some more senior minutes into his legs. He is aware due to the quality at Liverpool that he probably won’t have as much play time as he wants.
This is why a loan deal is on the cards for him with Southampton and Leicester City the two teams that are interested, according to The Athletic.
Liverpool will have to decide what team will be best for his development. They will not want a copy of the Fabio Carvalho - Leipzig loan from last season as he didn't get enough playing time.
Doak is on the USA pre-season tour and is set to be given the chance to excite under Arne Slot. He featured against Real Betis in the second half showcasing his electric pace.
The Liverpool head coach will understand his situation though and will have to discuss with sporting director Richard Hughes what is best for Doak.
