Liverpool's major Trent Alexander-Arnold concern CONFIRMED
Real Madrid have made contact with Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to reports. Here’s everything that’s happened so far.
Liverpool's major concern over Trent Alexander-Arnold has been seemingly confirmed in the Spanish press. Relovo reports that Real Madrid have been in contact with the Scouser's people over a transfer next year.
Alexander-Arnold is out of contract at the end of the season, of course. He can agree a pre-contract with a non-English club from January 1st and Real are positioning themselves for exactly that.

The report mentions Liverpool's efforts to get a renewal done but it's fallen on deaf ears. Alexander-Arnold hasn't responded to contract renewal talks, even recent ones.
Real wish to sign Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer and pair him on the opposite flank to Alphonso Davies. The Canadian is also out of contract at Bayern Munich next year.
But it makes clear that this isn't actually a gran plan of Real Madrid's. They didn't see Alexander-Arnold's contract expiring and are merely taking advantage of a 'market opportunity'.
Liverpool, it seems, are up against it.
Liverpool concerned over Trent Alexander-Arnold contract
Losing your most valuable player on a free transfer is a disaster. Paris Saint-Germain just went through the same thing, in fact, and it's once again Real Madrid making things happen.
But the Reds should never have let things get to this point. Alexander-Arnold will naturally be in high demand - the report makes it clear that Real are not the only interested club - and this was the case years ago, too. He should never have been within two years of an expiring deal, in all honesty.
This is the situation, though, and it no longer even makes sense for Alexander-Arnold to sign a new contract. He might as well wait a few more months and see actual offers from major European clubs.
His worrying comments a few weeks ago have proven to be exactly that. Things are heading in Real's direction.
