Liverpool transfer news today: Kelleher WARNING, Marmoush PREDICTION, Carreras LINKS
Here’s all your latest Liverpool transfer news to catch up on. The Reds have reportedly found a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Dumfries for Trent?
For a while now, Real Madrid have sat in the driver’s seat to secure Trent Alexander-Arnold’s signature if he does decide to leave his boyhood club. Recently, however, links to German giants Bayern Munich have emerged.
Spanish outlet TodoFichajes are reporting that Trent has now been “clear that he wants to leave Anfield next summer”, with everything being prepared from Madrid’s end for his arrival.
The recent injury to Madrid’s starting right-back Dani Carvajal has thrown a spanner in the works here, but Madrid are not expected to attempt to bring Trent in this coming January transfer window.
The same report indicates that, should Trent leave, Liverpool have identified Inter Milan and Netherlands man Denzel Dumfries as the one to replace the Scouser.

Slot asks for Kokcu
According to Portuguese outlet Record , Slot is eyeing up a reunion with former Feyernoord captain Orkun Kokcu. The midfielder has already had a magnificent start to the season.
The 23-year-old has scored four goals and registered three assists in nine appearances in all competitions. With Slot also making a magnificent start to the season winning six of his first seven Premier League matches, it could be a perfect match for the pair.
The Turkish player led Slot's Feyernoord side to the Eredivisie title in the 2022-23 season and the coach believes Kokcu could further strengthen the Liverpool squad who have a congested campaign.

Pearce shuts down Trent talk
Speaking on the Walk On podcast, the Athletic's James Pearce said reports that there will be a swoop for Trent Alexander-Arnold in January are farfetched, adding that talks for a contract renewal are continuing at pace behind the scenes.
“There’s absolutely zero chance that Trent will go anywhere in January," said Pearce. "I saw some nonsense about Real Madrid planning a bid for him in January - I don’t believe that’s true.
“Like we’ve said many times before: every top club in Europe will be keeping a very close eye on developments over Trent’s future because my information at the moment is that there is no decision that’s been taken and those talks are ongoing. “But the fact it was left very late by Liverpool to open those discussions, with him down to his last year, obviously makes things more difficult.”

Reds want another goalkeeper
With potential spaces opening up in Liverpool’s goalkeeping structure, the Reds have now been tipped to repeat their Alisson trick once again.
Mile Svilar has been one of the few bright spots in a poor season thus far for Roma and his form has put him into the shop window for many of Europe’s top clubs.
ASRomaLive is reporting that Manchester City, Newcastle and Liverpool are all interested in signing the Serbia international, with Roma set to cash in on one of their prized assets.
The Italian outlet claims Liverpool as well as their Premier League rivals have contacted Roma and sought out more information on the shot-stopper's willingness for a move to England.

Kelleher WARNED over Liverpool future
Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is set for a run in the first team due to Alisson's injury but he has been warned by Irish goalkeeping legend Shay Given that he is potentially wasting his career as a No.2.
Speaking to the BBC Radio 5 Live Monday Night Club, Given said:
“The summer was the best time for Caoimhin to move on and show everyone he is good enough… He is going to be back in the team now for sure – I think Alisson will be out for a few weeks – so he has got an opportunity again.
“But, at the same time, Caoimhin is 26 years old in November. He isn’t getting any younger. Each game that goes by where he doesn’t play, he will never get back.
“He has only got one career, one life and one opportunity at being a top goalkeeper.”
Mido predicts Marmoush will be WORLD'S BEST
Egypt legend Mido claims that he told Tottenham to sign Mohamed Salah back when the Liverpool hero was still playing with Basel, advising Daniel Levy that his compatriot would become the best in the world.
Spurs ignored the tip, however, and Salah went on to achieve greatness with the Reds instead.
Now Mido is making similar predictions for Liverpool transfer target Omar Marmoush.
The Eintracht Frankfurt star is enjoying a breakout season and Mido is urging his former club Totteham to get in there ahead of any other transfer rivals.
Liverpool will be hoping that Spurs are caught out once again.
Reds want former Man Utd youth Carreras
Alvaro Carreras didn’t make a single appearance in a Manchester United shirt during his time at the club; he was shipped out on loan to Preston, and then performed so well in loan spells at Granada and Benfica that he is now Benfica’s starting left-back.
That despite Man Utd struggling for a left-back to fill in due to Luke Shaw's injury problems, with even Sofyan Amrabat playing there last season.
He was sold for just €6m at the end of last season and, after being afforded a starting spot due to injuries, has taken the baton and run with it in Benfica’s last seven games.
