Liverpool transfer news today - PATHETIC Trent bid, Endo price REVEALED and Marmoush PRAISE
Here’s our round-up of all the latest Liverpool transfer news today (Wednesday 9 October) as Real Madrid prepare a shocking bid for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Svensson confirms interst
Rising Scandinavian star Daniel Svensson has acknowledged Liverpool’s interest in him and expressed his intention to move on from his current club in the near future.
According to Football Transfers in August, Liverpool have been closely monitoring the 22-year-old, who has drawn comparisons to Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga due to his versatility.
In a recent interview with Fotbollskanalen, Svensson revealed that Liverpool has "watched some matches" in which he played for Nordsjaelland, and he feels "absolutely ready" for a new challenge in one of Europe’s top leagues.
Liverpool want Szoboszlai's best friend
Liverpool are still trying to explore alternative options should they fail to secure a contract agreement with Mohamed Salah.
At this moment in time, Richard Hughes hasn't quite extended the Egyptian's deal at Anfield beyond the end of the current season.
Despite Salah's excellent start to the campaign, as he himself said after Liverpool's victory over Manchester United this could his last season at the club.
The Reds will of course want to avoid that. However, there is no guarantee they will be able to which is why Hughes and his recruitment team will have to explore alternative options.
And that could see the Reds making a move to sign one of Dominik Szoboszlai's 'best friends' in football.
What Salah told Liverpool about Marmoush
Mohamed Salah has been asked to give his verdict by Liverpool about his Egyptian teammate, Omar Marmoush.
At 25, Marmoush has emerged as one of the Bundesliga's standout players this season, netting nine goals and delivering six assists across nine matches in all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt. His prolific form has been pivotal in Frankfurt’s rise to third in the Bundesliga standings, just one point shy of Bayern Munich
Despite his success, Marmoush is reportedly reluctant to extend his contract at Deutsche Bank Park, as interest from Premier League clubs heats up ahead of the 2025 transfer window.
Liverpool, in particular, could have an advantage in the race for his signature, with Salah potentially playing a key role in convincing his fellow Egyptian to join him at Anfield.
Liverpool tipped to sign exciting Trent replacement
Liverpool have been urged to make an early move for Sevilla star Juanlu Sanchez, before allowing him to temporarily return to his boyhood club.
On Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson pointed to Liverpool’s summer acquisition of Giorgi Mamardashvili as a potential blueprint for securing the 21-year-old right-back.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold’s contract nearing its end, Sanchez has been linked to a move to the Premier League side. The young defender has been one of the few standout performers for Sevilla in what has been a lacklustre season so far.
Much like Alexander-Arnold, Sanchez is an attacking right-back, and he's already made an impact, scoring once in just 310 minutes of La Liga action this season.
Endo asking price revealed
Liverpool’s starting midfield have been a real highlight of this early season so far.
Ryan Gravenberch in particular has been a revelation at the defensive midfield position, surprising even himself with the standard of his play.
He and Alexis Mac Allister have demonstrated changes in their play style from last season to suit the differences in what is being asked of them in new head coach Arne Slot’s system.
Gravenberch has shown a particular aptitude on the ball, spinning defenders and running into space with alarming regularity. As a result, Liverpool are able to exploit midfield space and a back-tracking defence.
Because of this, Wataru Endō has been incredibly limited in action.
Real Madrid prepare pathetic Trent bid
Real Madrid are readying an offer to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool. The figure, however, is truly ridiculous.
Fichajes is claiming that Real Madrid are readying an offer to buy Trent Alexander-Arnold in January. It's a door that's very much open, after all.
Alexander-Arnold's contract expires in June, allowing him to leave Liverpool on a free transfer. However, he can sign a pre-contract agreement with a club outside England from January 1st.
It means we could be just months away from the Scouser agreeing a move away from Liverpool. The Reds can't actually stop him doing that - the best they can do is offer him a new contract.
But Real Madrid do want Alexander-Arnold. They're desire to sign him skyrocketed this weekend, too, as Dani Carvajal suffered a truly horrendous knee injury.
