Liverpool could miss out on forward Ademola Lookman as Arsenal have reportedly proposed a £42 million offer.

Alfredo Pedulla claims Arsenal have proposed a £42m deal with Atalanta for Ademola Lookman. The Nigerian winger has been linked with a move away from the Europa League Champions Atalanta and has been heavily rumoured with a move to Paris St Germain.

Lookman has reportedly opted to sit out of training this week to try and force a move to the French capital. PSG interest subsequently waned, however.

Arsenal are now believed to be pushing the hardest for the former Everton man, but Liverpool are known to be waiting in the background.

Frenchman Adrien Rabiot has found himself as a free agent after turning down an offer to extend his stay at Juventus, and now is waiting for his Mother, who is also his agent, to find him a club that coincides with his aspirations to play Champions League football.

Liverpool are amongsts a number of clubs linked with the defensive midfielder, and the French international could boast some value to Slot's side.

The England international's repreentatives released a statement expressing their desire for answers for Sterling not being involved against the Premier League Champions and as a result, the forward has voiced his wish to leave the London club this summer.

Sterling has not turned down the idea of an Anfield return despite Liverpool likely holding a different view. The 29 year-old left The Reds contraversially in 2015, much to the displeasure of the Liverpool fans. The four-time Premier League winner reiterated his love for his former employees in an interview back in 2020.

"Would I ever go back to Liverpool? To be honest with you I love Liverpool.

"Don’t get it twisted, they are always in my heart. It’s a team that has done a lot for me growing up so…," Sterling said.

Academy prospect Harvey Blair will leave Liverpool this summer as he seeks to progress his career to the next stage.

According to David Lynch, Liverpool have agreed a surprising fee of just £300,000 with newly-promoted Championship side Portsmouth, which seems low for a player of his pedigree considering players like Carvalho and Clark left for many multiples of that fee.

Blair, who shone during the pre-season tour in the USA this summer, will become the third promising youngster to leave the club this summer.

His departure marks the end of his nine-year Liverpool career with only one senior appearance to his name. That came in the Carabao Cup against Preston North End in October 2021.
