Here’s all your latest Liverpool transfer news. The Reds have an exciting midfield target, while Mo Salah may have signed a contract.

Liverpool like Rohl

Liverpool’s interest in a 22-year-old playmaker is serious enough to force a reaction from his current club. Merlin Rohl is generating some real hype.

Bild's head football writer, Christian Falk, claims Liverpool have serious interest in Freiberg midfielder Merlin Rohl. Rohl is currently injured, but the Reds have been pushing forward on the player anyway.

Falk says they're scouting the 22-year-old and have now added him to their shortlist. The interest is serious enough that Freiberg have reacted to it - they've offered a new contract to Rohl in an attempt to keep him around long-term.

Pundit claims Salah exit is near

The talismanic figure is part of a trio of Liverpool stalwarts whose contracts are set to expire at the end of the season. Between Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool could look drastically different on-pitch than they have at any point in the last eight years.

Despite Trent’s links to European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, Salah’s future has always been a bit more questionable.

Speaking on talkSPORT, former Aston Villa player turned pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has revealed that he’s hearing rumours of the attacker moving to Saudi Arabia.

“I think he’ll end up getting more than [Cristiano] Ronaldo is getting paid over there, he'll be the face [of the league].” Agbonlahor said.

“I’m hearing it'll be free transfer and how annoying would that be for Liverpool to lose Salah at 31 on a free transfer.” the pundit carried on, “I can't say [who told me] but I just think he would have signed a new contract by now and it's enough money that he can't turn down over there.”

Romano shares Gordon update

Fabrizio Romano has shared a new Anthony Gordon update after Liverpool tried to sign the player in the summer. The Scouser has an agreement.

Fabrizio Romano claims there is now an agreement between Anthony Gordon and Newcastle United over a new contract. It's yet to be signed, but it appears the winger will get a five-year deal in the North East as a reward for his efforts last season.

Gordon joined Newcastle from Everton and enjoyed a brilliant campaign, lighting up the Premier League and drawing interest from other clubs. In fact, the Magpies rejected 'several approaches', says Romano.

Juve's message to Fede Chiesa

Federico Chiesa was handed a very harsh reality before his transfer to Liverpool. That’s according to a director at Juventus.

Fabrizio Romano has shared some quotes from Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli on Federico Chiesa. Chiesa, of course, left Juventus late in the transfer window to join Liverpool at a cut-price fee.

And it appears that sale was simply inevitable as Juventus were incredibly clear - and harsh, really - in their assessment of Chiesa. They told the player that he simply wasn't a part of their plans.

“We have been clear with Federico Chiesa, he was no longer part of our project,” said Giuntoli.

“We found the best solution possible for all parties and I wish him all the best at Liverpool."
