Florian Plettenberg claims Jeremie Frimpong – once of Man City's academy – is expected to leave Xabi Alonso's side in 2024 and has a release clause of just €40m next summer. The attacking full back has recently been touted as a possible Reds target.

And finally, Liverpool, along with Tottenham and Manchester United are interested in a move for £39m-valued centre back Jean-Clair Todibo this January, so says the Evening Standard.

The 23-year-old, who was briefly at Barcelona, has impressed for Nice, who are just a point behind Paris Saint-Germain at the top of the Ligue 1 table this season.
