Liverpool transfer news roundup: Hincapie price tag, Gravenberch latest, Theate interest

These are the last days of the summer transfer window 2023. Unless you're in Saudi Arabia and then you've got another three weeks... Here are today's Liverpool rumours.

Piero Hincapie has been talked up as a possible defensive transfer target for Liverpool recently. Anfield Watch understands he is likely to move next year and it would take €50m (£42m) to bring Bayer Leverkusen to the table. Read the full story here.

Jurgen Klopp has dismissed the Mohamed Salah to Saudi Arabia talk as a big nothing burger (not a verbatim quote). The Liverpool boss told reporters the Reds have not received an offer and wouldn't entertain one anyway. Read more here.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports say that Al Ittihad want to offer Salah £1.5m a week. A WEEK. Blimey.

Elsewhere, TuttoMercatoWeb say Bayern Munich have already rejected an offer of €48m (£41m) from Liverpool for Ryan Gravenberch.

The Athletic write that Bayern club officials are leaning towards keeping Gravenberch at the club, despite his limited game time.

However, 90min say the complete opposite and that the German champs have instead 'relaxed their stance' on selling the Dutch 21-year-old. Who to believe???

German transfer reporter Christian Falk comes down on 'Team Leave' and says that Thomas Tuchel has given Gravenberch permission to go, so that funds can be raised for a new 'number six'.

On to another familiar transfer roundup name now. Crystal Palace's Cheick Doucoure has been set an asking price of £70m (almost Salah's annual Al Ittihad salary) according to the Standard.

And finally, Belgian centre back Arthur Theate is a player Liverpool have made enquiries about according to David Lynch.
