It's the start of a new week and new rumours (well, some new ones). Here's everything you need to know in the world of Liverpool transfer gossip right now...

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that the Reds will definitely make more signings in this transfer window, telling the We Are Liverpool podcast: “[There are] Still around three to four weeks until the first game of the season, a few things have to happen until then. Definitely. Transfer market-wise as well, that’s clear now. It will happen, and we will have a good team.”

Could one of those signings be Kylian Mbappe??? Liverpool have made contact with Mbappe's reps after PSG put the French superstar's up for sale in a desperate bid to avoid losing him for free next summer, say Football Transfers. However, the report notes that the Reds don't have the financial might to compete with his other suitors.

However, AS suggest Liverpool could be prepping a 'monumental bid' for the speedy forward, with Chelsea and Al-Hilal also interested.

More likely is a move for Romeo Lavia. Fabrizio Romano insists Klopp and co. are working on a deal for the 19-year-old Southampton star, but are keen to pay less than £50m.

Joao Palhinha is another name that has been mentioned in Liverpool search for a new 'number six'. Sacha Tavolieri says Fulham want €60m (£51m) and the Reds are the 'most keen'.

A potentially dislocated shoulder suffered on pre-season may yet scupper the Portuguese's hopes of a move, however, with Marco Silva admitting "it doesn't look good" — BBC.

Meanwhile, the Reds are ready to send a proposal for Joshua Kimmich, say notorious dodgy rumour peddlers Fichajes. Don't get your hopes up on that one.

On to outgoings and Fabinho's move to Al-Ittihad is in the finally in final stages, says Fabrizio Romano, while there's hope the £40m deal will be concluded this week.

Still, Bayern Munich are keeping watch on the Brazilian's transfer situation, say Sky.de, and are ready to swoop if anything goes awry.

Jordan Henderson has completed his medical to join Stevie G's Al-Ettifaq in Manchester at the end of last week, reports The Athletic.

Another former Liverpool man who could be Saudi-bound is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is the latest to be touted for the Pro League in The Mirror.

Caoimhin Kellher is wanted by Wolves for £20m, say MailOnline.

And finally, 20-year-old striker Layton Stewart has joined Preston North End on a permanent move for an undisclosed fee.
