Bellingham & Rodrygo rift could see Real Madrid star head to Liverpool
Two players that the Reds have been interested in previously could now be engaged in a behind-the-scenes battle that might play right into Liverpool’s hands.
It is no secret that Liverpool, much like every other top club in Europe, were big admirers of Jude Bellingham before he made the decision to join Real Madrid last summer.
Bellingham has developed into a world-class talent in Madrid but trouble could be brewing at the Bernabéu as the Englishman is rumoured to have a troubled relationship with Rodrygo Goes, a reported Liverpool target.
Rodrygo has featured in every game so far this season for Madrid but Bellingham has had his minutes restricted by injury and the pair have only shared the pitch for 163 minutes this campaign.

What’s happened between the pair?
Although there hasn’t been any public fallout there has been plenty of online speculation about the pair’s relationship. The two play in different positions but still compete with each other for time on the ball and tension may be rising between the two.
The summer signings of Endrick and Kylian Mbappe have thrown Rodrygo’s long-term future at the Bernabéu into question and now the Brazilian’s online activity has got some supporters talking.
Bellingham recently posted a photo of him alongside team mates Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe and only hours later Rodrygo responded by posting a photo of his own with the two Madrid stars. Neither Bellingham nor Rodrygo included each other in their posts.
How could this benefit Liverpool?
Liverpool’s talisman Mohamed Salah has less than a year remaining on his contract and recently shocked supporters by suggesting this could be his last year at the club.
Reports have since suggested that negotiations are set to take place soon to try and keep the Egyptian King in Merseyside beyond this season but Liverpool will be in need of a world-class replacement if Salah is to leave.
Rodrygo is one player that has been almost constantly linked to Liverpool for a number of seasons and if his relationship with Bellingham were to reach breaking point it could open the door for the Reds to make a move for the Brazilian winger.
Liverpool’s new head coach Arne Slot has started the season perfectly and could provide a great out for Rodrygo if he decides he wants to leave Madrid.
