Liverpool are FINALLY on the verge of first signing with a £30m bid sent in this morning
Liverpool are now waiting on a response from Valencia after bidding £30m this morning for one of their players.
Relovo claims Liverpool have now bid £30m for Giorgi Mamardashvili. A bid was expected this week after a flurry of rumours in recent days.
The Reds supposedly see Mamardashvili as a long-term successor to Alisson Becker, which makes this a particularly interesting transfer. For one, Alisson isn't going anywhere just yet.

Instead, the plan is for Mamardashvili to go out on loan immediately. Bournemouth are the favourites to get him, though there's a little ways to go before that's confirmed.
Liverpool certainly want to get this one done quickly, however. Their failure to land Martin Zubimendi after a week of delay hurt them, with claims that Mamardashvili would be pursued efficiently after that.
That now appears to be the case. The bid is in and the ball is in Valencia's court.
Mamardashvili wants move
The report claims that Mamardashvili is in favour of the move and wants Valencia to accept the offer. That's despite knowing he'd spend the next year - at least - with a midtable club on loan.
But it's a plan he's behind, it seems, and it now comes down to Valencia. Recent reports suggested they wanted to milk this one for all its worth, though £30m+ was always mentioned as an asking price.
They might try to push Liverpool hard here and increase their profit but it's difficult to know. Are Liverpool that desperate, after all? They certainly don't want another failure but they're also trying to sign a luxury here. The Reds don't need Mamardashvili and might not for a couple of years - it's not the end of the world if they walk away.
But the next few days should be telling and we imagine Valencia will accept to get this one over with. Liverpool's first summer signing shouldn't be far away.
